The biggest concern I’ve had with this whole Drobo failure is that it is a SINGLE Disk failure, which should have allowed me to pop in a like sized drive and rebuild the array.
This hasn’t worked, so at Drobo’s cost, they are having me send my ‘broken’ drive to a cloning company in California.
The hope is that they can clone the drive and I can pop it into the array, have the system functional, pull the drives and replace and have a rebuilt system.
I’ll be honest with you guys, I’ve lost ALL confidence in Drobo over this. They are doing the right things, but how can I ever trust this NAS to safely store my data. I have backups to my backups, so not all is lost, but my confidence in this product is…
